ČEZ Zadovská 5ka race information
1st edition, Saturday 24 October 2026, Churáňov ski stadium, Zadov, Šumava, 1,095 m a.s.l. A trail race on the loop that hosted the first Cross-Country Skiing World Cup race in Bohemia in January 1983.

The loop is 5 km long with 162 m of climbing, and it starts and finishes at the stadium. There are four named climbs on it: Vypálenec, Kamejček, Skalka and Cílák. It is run on forest and field tracks; expect wet ground and leaves in October.

On the day the entry fee is CZK 100 higher, subject to capacity. Children can also be entered on the day. Entry fees are non-refundable; transfer to another runner is free until 17 October, then CZK 100.
20 % club discount for registered members of Fischer Ski klub Šumava Vimperk, Ski klub Strakonice and Ski Sokol Stachy. Valid for the Zadovská 5ka and the ten with online entry before the deadline. The code is issued by registrace@zadovska5ka.cz.

Your category follows your year of birth, not the exact date. Men and women, boys and girls are ranked separately. Every category is awarded, however many start in it.

Younger youth, born 2011 and 2012, have their own wave over 2,000 m in the children's races. Having weighed up their own strength, and with written consent from a parent or guardian, they may start in the main 5 km race in the youth category instead. The consent form is handed in at registration.

The younger youth may, having weighed up their own strength and with their parents' consent, start in the main 5 km race instead of the 2,000 m wave – see above.
Relay: four members, one combined ranking, at least one woman in every team. Each runs one lap; the handover is on the finish straight in the stadium.
Awards and prizes
Everyone who finishes gets a wooden medal, children included.
The children's waves from 850 m up are awarded at 10:45, the first three boys and the first three girls. The 100 and 300 m waves are not ranked; everyone gets a medal and a treat at the finish.
The adult awards are at 14:15. The first three in every category are awarded, men and women separately, plus the first three relay teams. Prizes are handed over in person, not posted.
Terms
Half marathon and ten from 18, five from 14 (the youth categories run the five); runners under 18 need consent from a parent or guardian. Half marathon cut-off 4:00, with a checkpoint cut-off of 3:00 at the start of the last lap. The race is run at your own risk. The course runs through the Šumava Protected Landscape Area; litter belongs in the bins. Medical cover is on site throughout the race.
